These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ProfileScout (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Registration: You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Acceptable Use: ProfileScout is designed for legitimate business purposes including sales prospecting, recruiting, fundraising, and professional networking. You agree to:
- Use publicly available LinkedIn data responsibly
- Comply with LinkedIn's Terms of Service and community guidelines
- Not use the service for spam, harassment, or unsolicited commercial messages
- Not attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
- Not resell or redistribute data obtained through the service
Prohibited Activities: You may not use ProfileScout to scrape data at scale beyond your plan limits, violate privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA), or engage in activities that could result in account restrictions on LinkedIn.
Plan Types: ProfileScout offers Free, Starter ($49/mo), Professional ($129/mo), and Enterprise ($299/mo) plans. Each plan includes specific limits on LinkedIn searches, email enrichments, and features as detailed on our pricing page.
Billing Cycle: Paid plans are billed monthly or annually (with 17% discount). Billing occurs automatically on your subscription renewal date. All prices are in USD unless otherwise specified.
Usage Credits: Monthly search and email enrichment credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused credits do not roll over. Additional credits can be purchased à la carte.
Payment Failure: If payment fails, we will retry up to 3 times over 7 days. If unsuccessful, your subscription will be downgraded to the Free plan and you will lose access to paid features.
Taxes: Prices exclude applicable taxes (GST in India, VAT in EU, etc.) which will be added at checkout based on your location.
How to Cancel: You can cancel your subscription anytime from your Profile settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Access After Cancellation: You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will automatically downgrade to the Free plan with its associated limits (10 searches/month, 5 email enrichments/month).
Data Retention: Saved lists, search history, and profile data remain accessible on the Free plan (limited to 7-day history). You can export your data before cancellation.
7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you're not satisfied with ProfileScout within the first 7 days of your initial subscription, contact us for a full refund. This applies only to your first subscription payment.
No Refunds After 7 Days: After the 7-day period, subscription fees are non-refundable. You may cancel anytime, but no prorated refunds are provided for partial months.
Credit Purchases: À la carte credit purchases (extra searches, email enrichments) are non-refundable once purchased, but credits remain available for use within your account.
Service Issues: If technical issues prevent you from using the service, contact support. We may provide credits or prorated refunds at our discretion.
